Thanks for a great time. We loved the game drives, the food and the hospitality. We have stayed in a few game lodges but our Pondoro experience has been the most memorable of all. Had some great sightings, especially the lion cubs. We stayed for 5 nights and just missed the wild dogs. Maybe next time?
We have attached a small selection of photos from our game drives with Shaun.

We saw this rhino briefly from the vehicle close to Mamba road. I then decided to take the guests with me on foot to try and see if we could find him again. The video footage is courtecy of Pat and Caroline McGinty who decided to visit Pondoro as part of their honeymoon.

On the 4th of June 3 wild dogs were seen inside our concession. This is considered to be Africa’s 2nd most endangered predator after the Ethiopian wolf and it is a rare and special sighting. They were seen after they had killed an impala and were resting in the shade.
We had an excellent week’s game viewing and as so often in the past the lion sightings were the highlights during the drives. The morning of the 13th was no exception and I took this photos of Shaun and his guests on the morning drive. We 1st found the 2 males, Big Boy and Mazinyo, just after they had unsuccessfully tried to pull an impala, which was killed by a leopard, from a tree. Thereafter we found the mothers of the cubs returning back to the cubs after a unsuccessful hunt.
